TRILLIUM SEQUENCE
The story of the Trillium Projects began in Seward Park with the Starflower Foundation and continued with additional projects that express the same underlying mission – to create a new urban ecology that works with nature and the city. This body of work is referred to as the Trillium Projects, after our native Western Trillium, one of the most delicate and beautiful characters of an evolving urban native plant community. The multiple sites of the Trillium Projects form a network of restored park landscapes, fine-tuned for environmental education, that represent a succession of biological communities from the woods to the water’s edge. Completed by Chris Jones, as Associate with Charles Anderson Landscape Architecture, prior to founding Groundswell.
