SEYMOUR CONSERVATORY EVENT SPACE
Surrounded by the lovely grounds of Wright Park in Tacoma’s historic Stadium district, the W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory is one of only three public Victorian-style conservatories on the West Coast and is listed on the city, state and national historic registers. In an effort to expand revenue generating opportunities at the Conservatory, and within the greater parks system, Metro Parks Tacoma engaged Groundswell in a study to design a large event space at the Conservatory. The preferred plan suggested the addition of a shade structure and landscaping on the north side of the conservatory that will accommodate approximately 100 guests for public and private events.
