ROTARY PARK PAVILION VISIONING EFFORT
Rotary Pavilion Park is a 1/2-acre downtown park that will be transformed into a signature downtown civic space for the City of Ellensburg. The park planning and conceptual design process with the community identified a varied program of uses including a water feature, shade canopy, games, stage and play area. A central focus of the project is its accommodation for current and future events: the site is currently the location of numerous local festivals including Jazz in the Valley, Movies in the Park and Hoedown in the Downtown. While the site’s open quality and recreation amenities are popular elements to preserve in the plan, infrastructure to support event uses will be interwoven in a manner compatible with each. This project is located in the city’s downtown core and will be reflective of the Ellensburg community and culture. Completed by Chris Jones, as Principal at Walker Macy.
