PORT PLAZA
Located on historic and picturesque Budd Inlet in South Puget Sound, Port Plaza was designed as an active and flexible waterfront space meant to accomodate all types of outdoor celebrations and events. From weddings, private parties, receptions, and festivals to music concerts, Port Plaza is a unique civic space serving Olympia and the south sound. The site features paving patterns which emulate the tide flats of Budd Inlet while rich native plantings create sense of space among carved sandstone blocks. The viewing tower above the performing arts stage offers breathtaking waterfront views of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. Completed by Chris Jones, as Project Manager at RW Droll, prior to founding Groundswell.
