JESUIT HOUSE
The new Jesuit House at Gonzaga University provides housing, communal amenities, a chapel and administrative space for the school’s Jesuits. Located near the heart of campus, the Jesuit House integrates seamlessly with the surrounding university landscape while offering Jesuits a lush central courtyard of their own for respite and reflection. In collaboration with BAR Architects, the building and site were jointly envisioned as providing meaningful relationships between daily life inside the building and several distinct outdoor experiences: public and private entries, spaces for worship, conversation, and gardening. Completed by Chris Jones, as an Associate at Walker Macy, prior to founding Groundswell.
