VETERINARY MEDICINE AND BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH BUILDING
This four-story 128,000 s.f. education and laboratory building is connected to an existing adjacent structure by a shared central circulation spine and includes a below grade vivarium. The project is the fourth of six buildings in a master-planned Research and Education Complex on the campus. The site design for this facility showcases an outdoor staircase with amphitheatre seating as its centerpiece. Much of the landscape is on-structure and functions as a buffer to minimize impacts of outdoor activities on interior laboratories and vivarium spaces. Completed by Chris Jones, as Associate at Walker Macy, prior to founding Groundswell.
